The only criteria for these commissioned signs were the titles of the rooms, so I came up with the concept for the signs from scratch. I chose the concept of these interior business sign designs inspired by vintage neon signs found outside vintage hotel, restaurants, bowling alleys, etc. since this music shop focuses its inventory on used instruments and gear. This idea would also allow me to make each sign unique in shape but cohesive as a series within the shop. Based on the layout of the shop, I also made a larger sign that indicated all of these rooms were around a corner from the front lobby.
